Peru Tunki beans blended with a balance of the lovely floral notes of the Ethiopia and the luxurious body and richness of the Sumatra.

Great Taste Awards Judges comments:

A subtle nose and then in the mouth a hint of ginger bread, a gentle spice, a sweetness, juicy. An honest, crystal clean coffee. The subtle spicing returns on the finish as the coffee cools a bit.

More details:

Coffee: Peru Green Tunki Coffee 'Bird Friendly'
Farm: Tambopata Valley
Processing: Washed and sundried Jan - March
Altitude: 1600 -1800 mask
Region: The name Tunki comes from the locally found wild bird. The coffee is traditionally farmed by hand. Situated high in the mountains amongst the most beautiful flora and fauna of the Tambopata Valley, the coffee beans are fed and washed by pure spring waters, then patio dried by the indigenous Quechua and 'Aymara' speaking families. The beans are organically shade grown, not only safeguarding the habitat of many migratory wildlife, but also encouraging the cherrys to ripen slower, allowing the acidity to develop in the bean.

Coffee: Ethiopia Kaffa Forest
Variety:  Various heirloom coffees
Processing: Washed and sun dried Jan - Mar
Altitude: 1750-1850 masl
Region: This family-owned estate is situated southwest of Addis Ababa in the highlands of the Haifa region. The coffee grows wild in natural forest among the trees creating incredible biodiversity. The plants are nurtured by cool morning mists, a lush tropical canopy provides shade and the soil is enriched with organic nutrients from the fallen leaves producing some of the most coveted floral, citrus and wild berry cup profiles in the world. Ethiopia's last forest lions are said to live in the Kaffa Forest.
